Attached is page 1 and 2 of my PPAER exam results, written 04 December 2025. Overall: 91% Categorized: Air Law - 100% Navigation - 80% Meteorology - 96.7% General - 86.7% The overall PPL Ground provided was exceptional, roughly 50% of the questions on the exam were either identical, or near identical wording, specifically in the Air Law and Meteorology sections. The 8 Practice exams are incredible prep for these TC exams. Seems I could use more studying on Nav, however the presentations presented by Aaron are very in depth and well done. A Vancouver VNC was used, a 2-leg flight plan. Questions were consistent with: Obstacle clearance, types of airspace along route, performance calculations regarding time enroute and fuel required (foreseeable and unforeseeable fuel was included), the airports control zone classes. A question that caught me off guard was what type of charts are best used when approaching an airport in a Class C control zone, in this case Victoria Int'l. I may have missed this in the presentations, I assumed VNC and CFS for airport information, however I believe now I should have chosen VTA since its embedded below a TCA. Meteorology consisted almost identical with what's provided in both the practice exams, flash cards, and presentations. These include how thunderstorms are developed (high moisture, steep lapse rate, lifting action), how fog is formed, fronts (including winter warm front, question was worded along the lines of "approaching a winter warm front from the cold air mass you experience snow mixed with ice pellets, expected next would be" - Answer: Freezing rain. There were no wildcard questions that I haven't seen before. Air Law questions were straight from the presentations, uncontrolled above 1000AGL VFR minimums, right of way, Special VFR visibility minimums. All topics covered in the presentations and practice exams. Thank you all at PilotTraining.ca for the amazing ground school. Godspeed and see you at CPL, Chris

Passed my exam first try...PPL course is so thorough it teaches theory and knowledge to get though the exam without a problem. I did both...ground school in class and also Pilottraiing.ca....never would have passed with in-person ground school....just wasnt enoung enough without this course. THANK YOU
Thank you pilottraining.ca!!! As the tittle says, I passed my PPAER with a 95%! I am so happy about the test and how well this course prepared me for it. This is a great platform for ground school, and I will definitely be using it for future licenses. Is there anywhere that I can write a review for pilottraining? Once again, thank you guys so much!!!
Gratitude Body: Hello! I'm a full-time paramedic trying to get my PPL part-time. A few months ago I was in an unorthodox position where I had completed a different ground school and received a letter of recommendation, but I didn't feel confident about my knowledge. Many topics were very confusing to me even after completing their course. I had a poor understanding of almost every concept that was introduced. I felt forced to find answers in books or on YouTube, and other unofficial sources where I couldn't be sure the information was correct or complete. During practice tests, I would receive very low passing grades and I felt like passing the TC exam would come down to a coin toss. I felt discouraged, nervous, and frustrated. Desperate, I purchased Pilot Training's PPL course as a Hail Mary to try to supplement the information I already had - and it was a lifesaver. Your course is incredibly engaging, thorough, and clear. I wish I had used your program from the start. I wrote the TC exam yesterday and thanks to your course, I passed with 90% overall! I'm so grateful, and will definitely be using your courses for all future training. Thank you!!!
Hello Adam, I wanted to express my gratitude to Harv’s Air for the exceptional experience I had with your ground school. Despite my demanding schedule as a dentist, I finally managed to complete the exam. The flexibility to study at my own pace from the comfort of my home was invaluable. The course structure was excellent, and the quizzes and practice tests were immensely helpful in building my confidence. I particularly enjoyed Erin's teaching style, along with his amusing dad jokes. I also want to extend my thanks to David for his one-on-one classes, which greatly assisted me. Yesterday, I sat for my TC PPL written exam in Hamilton, Ontario, and scored 83%. While this was slightly below my expectations, it wasn't a reflection of the quality of your online course. Rather, it was due to some avoidable errors, as I realized from the feedback provided on my results sheet. Areas like distinguishing between "which one is Incorrect" and discerning between AGL vs ASL proved to be tricky. Despite these challenges, I found the exam familiar, thanks to the comprehensive practice tests. In fact, I finished well before the allotted time. I highly recommend that students review their tests to identify and rectify any mistakes, as I believe this could have significantly improved my score. Nevertheless, I am overall pleased with the entire experience. Thank you once again for your support. V.A.
I just wrote my PPAER exam today and scored 97% to the surprise of most of the staff at the flight school! I found the instruction, particularly in the video component of the PPL course absolutely fantastic and completely comprehensive. The online format is polished and certainly makes ground school for someone who has a full time job and family commitments etc. very straightforward to manage. I will definitely be coming back for future ground schools as I go on to further training.
I just wrote the exam this morning. As you can see it worked pretty well! (97%) All I can say is it really matches the practice exams and the course contents. I'm very happy to have followed the theory part with Harv's Air. The contents is of very good quality and the format is highly convenient. I am a chief mate on cargo ships with a 6 weeks on/off schedule so this allowed me to study as well on the ship or home. For now the PPL is as a hobby/passion, but it is obvious that when I'll get further annotations I will use Harv's air for the theory. Thanks a lot and safe flying!
I went to the private pilot exam yesterday, here’s my result as requested. (92%) I was a bit distracted on the navigation part, due to the exam desk being small and having to unfold the map in a tight space. Strangely most mistakes I made seems to have been on material I had practiced and studied, so my guess is it was mostly distraction mistakes. I am very satisfied with the result and will continue using pilottraining.ca for my next rating! Thank you so much for the quality material, it was a pleasure to learn on your platform.
Last Tuesday I passed my TC exam,, results attached ,,,with a 96% mark, and for that I have to thank you . I did not encountered any subject in the exam that was not given in the course, Moreover the question format is very similar to the format in the practice Exams in your site. I really have to thank you because I feel very satisfied with that mark . Iam always aiming for perfect marks in my exams and your course makes it very possible to achieve a very high ( almost perfect score )..I will proceed now to get your CPL PLUS INSTRUMENTS course , Because It will help me remember and keep what I learned fresh in my head, and so when I pass the practical and become a private pilot I can be ready for the CPL Theory exam at least... J R. P. thx
My first appointment for the written exam at Transport Canada got cancelled because of the strike action in the federal government. I finally got an appointment with an authorized examination invigilators. The appointment was today and I passed my PPL written exam with 89.8%. I don’t have much comments about the TC exam. It was very similar to the practice exams and it shows by the fact that I got pretty much the same result as my practice exams!!! Back as a teenager, I was not very good at keeping focussed and interested in my studies but, the way the pilottraining.ca material is presented (along with ma passion of flying) captured my attention and kept my wanting to study another chapter even when it was too late at night ???? I would like to thank Harv’s air for the great online ground school material... the slides are very well layed out and the videos, with all the detailed explanations and examples are awesome (Thanks Aaron). Should I decide to do any of Instrument rating, Night rating or VFR OTT rating, I will definitely come back to pilotTraining.ca for ground school!!! Thanks again!
I’d like to take the time to thank you for the amazing coarse that you have put on. It really helped me understand the concepts that needed to be learned and applied towards my ppl testing and also flying. I went in yesterday to write my exam and passed with an average of 78.8%. The wording on the exams (Transport Canada) was quite a bit confusing and rather head scratching. Some of my answers after the fact were a bit of a bone head move but all in all it feels like it followed your syllabus quite well. Thanks again.
I just passed my PPL exam with 89% score The Harvs air ground couse was definately worth the investment. Great videos and study material. Keep up the good work!
